The Help Window displays the embedded documentation in a two-pane layout. The left pane contains a collapsible tree structure for navigating topics, while the right pane shows the selected content. Additionally to the core User Manual, each plugin can provide its own documentation.

The Help Window has a search bar (1), which can search on all the page name and content in the documentations. Each plugin documentation appear as a folder in the left pane tree (2). Chapters and sub sections appear as children in that tree. The right pane (3) display the selected content.

Plugin documentation also include an automatically generated section called “Registry Items”. This section list elements defined in the plugin that can be accessed in GroIMP:

• The options
• The commands
• The Panels
