+This section presents the available menus in GroIMP. Menus are added/ removed/ and configured by plugins. Thus, installing new [[:01_user_documentation:11_plugin|plugins]] might add menu entries.
+Additionally there are two menu layouts:
+  - Main menus: menus that are always available.
+  - Project menus : menus only available when a project is opened.
+This section only covers the menus from the Main window. Other windows and panels can have their own menus, which will be described on their wiki page.
